To build a physically, socially and mentally healthy nation through effective public health planning, innovative and cost effective intervention through training and research.

Mission

The mission is to improve status of people, promoting healthy behaviors, increasing access to preventive and curative quality health care services through skilled public health professionals.

Objectives

  • To establish center of excellence, for public health teaching, preventive medicine and health promotion.
  • To improve health, social and human development indicators of the country through public health research and training.
  • Advocacy with policy makers for increased allocation of resources by providing scientific evidence.
